400 Tears of Meetings and Encounters
2008 marks the 400th anniversary of the foundation of Quebec City by Samuel de Champlain. The Royal Canadian Mint has struck a commemorative 2-dollar coin to honour this historic event, as well as the festivities' signature theme, meetings and encounters.
This medallion was struck exclusively for this collector card. It features Quebec City's coat of arms on one side, and a portrait of Samuelde Champlain on the other.
The collector's cards are available in 3 versions:
