| Blue Rose se déroule dans un monde appelé Aldea, et la plupart des campagnes se concentrent autour du royaume d'Aldis. Aldis est une monarchie dont le dirigeant est choisi par intervention divine plutôt que par héritage. Le dirigeant actuel est la reine Jaellin, qui a gagné le trône lorsque "le Golden Hart", un être symbolisant la domination légitime, l'a choisie sur ses concurrents. Les populations d'animaux télépathiques sensibles sont répandues chez Aldis (les animaux parlants sont un thème commun dans la littérature fantastique, mais beaucoup moins dans les jeux de rôle) et sont considérés comme des citoyens égaux au même titre que les humains. Aldis entretient des relations tendues avec Jarzon, un royaume voisin de fanatiques religieux. Les deux nations sont menacées par Kern, un royaume maléfique de nécromanciens, et ont parfois opéré comme des alliés inquiets contre l'agresseur commun. Le livre est très bien fait avec une excellente direction artistique. Je suis très satisfait! |
