The magician shows a device with a rope running through the middle ofit. He gently pulls on one end of the rope, and it starts to move through the device. He pulls on the other end, and the rope moves back toa central position. The magician then holds the device between his hands and effectively cuts the rope in two. Finally, he reverses this process, and the rope is free to pass through the device once more as one piece. A truly spectacular effect!
