The ancient city of Merv. A gateway between the East and the West. A hub of scholarship and trade. The greatest city in the world.
In Merv: The Heart of the Silk Road players are vying to amass power and wealth in the prosperous city at the centre of the land. Through careful court intrigue, timely donations to the grand mosque, and securing favourable trade deals, players attempt to redirect as much of that prosperity as possible into their own pockets.
Meanwhile, beyond the city walls Mongol hordes approach. If you help construct the city walls you give up on precious opportunities to build up your own stature, but leave it unprotected and you will burn with the city. Every decision is weighty and the consequences of each misstep are dire. Will you rise to prominence or fade into oblivion?

| Ce jeu est très beau esthétiquement. Il y a beaucoup d'interraction entre les joueurs et c'est important de rester à l'affut de ce que les autres font. Toutefois, lorsque certains joueurs n'ontpas beaucoup d'expérience, certaines stratégies sont beaucoup trop forte. | |

| Les jeux de Fabio Lopiano sont tous tellement cool. Celui-ci pourrait être mon préféré. On y retrouve également le bel art par Ian O'Toole. Je ne sais pas pourquoi ce n'était pas un plus gros succès. Trop européen ?!? Quoi qu'il en soit, il se joue fantastiquement bien et mérite d'être sur la table de tout amateur d'euro. |

| C’est un gros coup de cœur ! Juste à ouvrir la boîte et de faire la mise en place du jeu, on est émerveillé par les couleurs et les illustrations. C’est une mécanique que nous adorons. Gérer des ressources et avancer sur plusieurs pistes de progression! Chapeau aux concepteurs de ce jeu ! | |
