You are one of the doctors that were just hired for the brand-new, cutting-edge Medical Center. Alongside your colleagues, you have to cooperate well, to admit, diagnose and treat various patients who need your help. Combine your strengths and treat efficiently the patients arriving at hospital, but be careful, because mistakes can be of the highest value in Rush MD!
'Rush M.D. is an innovative, real-time, cooperative board game that simulates the challenging and high-pressure nature of medical professions. A worker placement mechanism, using hourglasses as workers allows, but also limits, players to perform a multitude of actions. Each player handles 1 Doctor hourglass running around the hospital, admitting patients, providing immediate medical care, performing different kinds of exams as well as performing surgeries. Additionally, there are 4 more Nurse hourglasses, which can be used by all players. Nurses provide medicines to patients, supply all necessary drugs and equipment that you need to carry out all your exams and medical procedures. Any worker placed on an action space may not be used elsewhere before the sand within the hourglass runs out, making each decision important as time is limited.
The game plays from 1-4 players and lasts for 4 rounds of 4 minutes each. That means you only have 16 minutes in total to treat various patients, overcome many difficulties and challenges and manage to cooperate efficiently with your teammates, combine your forces into helping as many of your patients. A highly thematic experience that is equally rewarding for gamers and families, filled with fun, challenges and sharp decision making!

| Rush MD est un jeu dont le cycle de jeu est assez simple: On admet des patients, on fait des tests, et on les soigne. La complexité vient du fait que tout cela est effectué en temps réel. Les jetons de "docteur" des joueurs, et ceux des infirmières qui sont partagés entre tous les joueurs, sont remplacés par des sabliers d’environ 30 secondes. Ainsi, lorsqu’une infirmière est utilisée pour remplir la pharmacie, elle devient inutilisable pendant ce temps. Certains patients sont plus simples, nécessitant seulement l'administration de quelques médicaments, alors que d'autres doivent être diagnostiqués selon leurs symptômes. Certains devront même aller en opération, où toutes les actions qui seraient faites normalement doivent être effectuées avec des pinces de chirurgies, rendant le tout plus difficile. Le tout est bien pensé et effectué: le sang et les médicaments intraveineux doivent être insérés dans des seringues en plastique, ce qui est très thématique et amusant (et difficile avec les pinces!), et les 4 mini-jeux de diagnostics disponibles sont assez simples et rapides pour ne pas être encombrants pendant la partie. Bien que la période de 4 minutes allouée pour une ronde est chaotique, la coopération se fait sentir. Comme une personne ne peut faire qu'une chose à la fois, une bonne communication est nécessaire pour ne pas être pris au dépourvu. Les joueurs moins expérimentés peuvent se concentrer sur les tâches plus simples (comme remplir la pharmacie, admettre des patients) pendant que les joueurs plus habitués peuvent se concentrer sur les diagnostics et les opérations. Sinon, les joueurs plus habiles peuvent se concentrer sur les tâches nécessitant de l’adresse (test de sang, opérations), pendant que les joueurs avec deux mains gauches peuvent s'occuper des autres patients. Somme tout, le jeu est bien pensé, et les différents objectifs et manières de placer le tableau de jeu offrent de nouvelles manières de jouer. Les accessoires sont thématiques et de bonne qualité. Le livret des règles porte un peu à confusion, je recommanderais plutôt de trouver une vidéo d’explication sur internet. Mais après avoir joué une ronde, on comprend bien. |

| Si vous avez aimé Kitchen Rush, vous aimerez certainement cette version hôpital du jeu. Il faut traiter des patients, en guérir et même en sauver. La mécanique ressemble un peu à Kitchen Rush, mais elle me semble plus facile. Le plateau de jeu est modulable. Un beau jeu en temps réel qui se jouera bien en famille. | |
