| This is one of my favourite games to play with my family. It is a bit pricey, but it is so much fun to play and the quality of all components are top notch. I do hope the game will have an expansion at some point to allow for more than 4 players. This is easily a 5 star pick. | |

| Played this game with a few different groups and even when played with younger children, this game works well. I really enjoy the push your luck aspect. The replayability is also pretty good. The components of of a very good quality. I am very pleased with the purchase. | |

| Fun Bag-Building/Push-Your-Luck game | |
| Very fun 2 to 4 player game that plays in about 60 minutes, and involves players pushing their luck by pulling “ingredient” tokens out of their bags to add to their “cauldrons”. If they stop at the right moment, they will earn victory points and be able to purchase more ingredients to add to their bags and build better potions in subsequent rounds. If they blow up, they must choose between victory points or new ingredients. Clever catch-up mechanic helps ensure that players don’t fall too far behind the leader… The fact that it was the 2018 Kinderspiel des Jahres winner says a lot. The components are generally nice and well made, but in an ideal world the ingredient tokens would made of a plastic instead of cardboard. | |

| This is how the main mechanic of the game is described. Similar to deck building I presume. The game itself is fun. There is a good mix of strategy and luck. The artwork is great. The mechanic of pulling pieces from a bag never knowing if that is the piece that will push you to victory or ruin your potion is simple and fun. There is quite a bit of variety from game to game because of the set up options. | |

| Fun light game about brewing potions! | |
| The Quacks of Quedlinburg is a fun bag-building/push-your-luck game where each player competes to be the best potion brewer. You buy ingredients with different powers, pull them out randomly from your bag and finally place them in your cauldron. Your goal is to go as far as you can on your cauldron track without exploding. There is definitely a lot of luck involved which will create a lot of highs and lows. The strategy is there but it's mostly about probabilities and reducing your chances of drawing bad ingredients. The game is easy to teach and offers quite a lot of replayability with its different ingredient "books". The components are nice but the ingredient tokens often get stuck in the bag's corners which is my only complaint. Recommended for families or people looking for a lighter game! |

| Very solid game with lots of variety | |
| My favourite part about this game is that each players turns can be taken at the same time. As opposed to a back and forth passing of turns. The theme is fun, and there is a lot of variety to be had. Variety meaning you can play through subsequent games wit the tokens representing different effects. Over all the game is very well designed, with a manageable run-time, making it easy to get to the table. |

| Different from the various games I’m used to playing. The gameplay is different, it combines strategy but also luck of course as there is a gambling component (beware!). Visually pleasing, colorful and good quality. Four different options for some cards which allow for four slightly different ways of playing even without having to buy any of the expansions, which is nice. Price is as expected for these kinds of board games. Curious about the expansions. | |

| Great game! Very easy to learn good family game. Played the game with my 7 year old and he easily understood the basic rules. He also get to work on probability and some math by adding his cherrybomb ingredients. Love the mechanics of drawing from your bag and buying new ingredients to make your bag better. Highly recommend this game. On a side note we also played with grandma and she loved it too. | |

| Have you ever dreamt of being a wizard casting spells and brewing hot magical stuff we call potions. And this game does exactly that, a tense bag building game where your decisions and luck will make you the most reputable quack or a fool that cannot brew, exploding his potion everytime. | Apres les deckbuilder, on a maintenant les bagbuilders et c'est vraiment très bien réussi. Meme si la thématique des alchimistes vous intéresse pas, la mécanique de ce jeu est trop bien réussie pour passer a coté. C'est un hit assuré auprès des joueurs expérimentés comme des joueurs occasionnels. La partie est structurée en 8 tours, a chacun on conçoit une potion a partir de notre sac d'ingrédient qui lui est amélioré a la fin du tour. Le but est de faire le plus de point possible avant de faire exploser sa potion et évidemment, le jeu nous incite a pousser notre chance pour faire le plus de points. Toutes sortes de stratégies sont possible et le facteur chance ne prend pas toute la place. On finit toujours par faire exploser nos potions. La mise en place de la partie est rapide et celle ci peut être faite en 45 minutes facilement. Aucun point négatif à déclarer. |

| Pouf! La potion de votre voisin viens d'exploser. Vous avez la main dans votre sac et pour vous aussi c'est le moment de vérité, des bulles blanches et vous avez poussé trop loin. | Meilleur jeux de ''pousser sa chance de ma collection''! Le risque deviens addictif et ''exploser'' en début de partie ne vous mets pas hors de la course à la victoire. | Un jeu plutôt amusant qui n'est pas trop compliqué à apprendre, donc accessible à tous. Basé plutôt sur le hasard que sur les stratégies, il a un quelque chose d'unique. | I wasnt sure about that game but i was thinking that my wife can enjoy it. So at the first game i was really impress about the fun gameplay (push your luck). | Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce jeu. Beaucoup relève du hasard et des pièces tirées à l'aveuglette mais sommes toutes, le gambleur en nous peut facilement s'emporter et risquer de continuer à piger pour exploser le chaudron. Je remarque cependant une faille avec les pièces bleues. Lorsque nous en avons plusieurs il devient trop facile de se rendre au bout de la track du chaudron. Un nombre maximal de jetons bleu de force 4 devraient être en jeu pour éviter l'abus. | |

| Bon jeu léger avec du hasard mais pas juste du hasard | |
| The Quacks of Quedlinburg est un jeu amusant qui va assurément plaire à la majorité des joueurs. C'est assez léger pour être maîtrisé en quelques minutes mais on peut tout de même se créer une stratégie avec son choix de jetons. Reste encore à voir si le hasard va nous permettre de profiter de cette stratégie... Les règles de rattrapage sont bien faites pour éviter que des joueurs se sentent hors de la course jusqu'à la fin de la partie. Les combinaisons de règles pour les jetons permettent de varier les stratégies d'une partie à l'autre, ce qui prolonge la "durée de fraîcheur" du jeu. Statisticien ou "gambler", chaque pige dans le sac est excitante, qu'elle se termine par une explosion du chaudron avec un jeton blanc ou par encore plus de points avec un jeton de couleur. Le jeu est plaisant de 2 à 4 joueurs. |

| This game is quite easy to master! We have to pick ingredients blindly to try earn many points as possible without exploding everything! It's a game really based on chance, but most ingredients you acquire, most of your chances of explosion decrease! It's a great game when you don't have enough brain to concentrate! It is played very well with players of all ages! | |
