Belasco kidnapped another generation of Xavier's mutant brood, and tortured them in an effort to locate Illyana's soul.  However, Illyana rescued some of the mutants, including the youngPixie - and, sensing the girl's purity, crafted a plan to defeat her former mentor. Illyana used Pixie's innocent soul to create a bloodstone of her own, and allowing Pixie to create a soul dagger - a miniature version of Illyana's old weapon.  The mutants stormed Belasco's castle, and Pixie and Illyana used the dagger to destroy him once and for all.
