GENERATIONS - 2022 CANADIAN COINS # 02 - THE RED RIVER MÉTIS
It is all simple: for any purchases of products that are eligible to the Privilege Card, 10% of the value of these products before taxes will be deposited in your account and after 10 purchases, you can use the accumulated money as a gift! Hence, you can use this gift from the 11th purchase, but if you want to, you can continue to deposit savings in your account and use the gift whenever you want! You can use the gift to buy the products of your choice and the gift must be used all at once (if you have a $50 gift, you must do a purchase of $50 or more).

- Sports or collectible/trading game cards, on a purchase of $10 or more of single cards;
- Stamps with the exception of those from the current year. Stamps accessories are not eligible;
- Coins, with the exception of those emission price. Gold coins and bullion coins are not eligible.. Coin and paper money accessories are not eligible.
* Any other products not listed here are not eligible to the Privilege Card.
* This offer cannot be turned into cash.
* The Privilege Card cannot be added to any other promotion (products on rebate cannot are not eligible to the Privilege Card.
Also, the card is absolutely free and there's no time limit to use it. If you've already filled out your traditional privilege card (paper form), ask for our new millennium version (computer format).
No need to carry the burden of those cumbersome extra papers in your wallet anymore. You can even follow the state of your credit on every receipt.

GENERATIONS: THE RED RIVER MÉTIS
2nd coin of the series Generations.
For the First Peoples of Canada, relaying a story is a lesson in itself: one generation sets an example for the next, entrusting them with knowledge that then become theirs to tell. The second Generations coin brings you the story of the Red River Métis, as told through a traditional Métis beadwork pattern. One by one, the engraved beads come together to form the dazzling floral motifs that represent a living tradition for the “Flower Beadwork People.”
The coin’s reverse features an engraved rendering of an original floral beadwork pattern by Métis artist Jennine Krauchi, who has weaved together traditional beading elements to tell the story of the Red River Métis. At the base of the design, roots are intertwined with the Red River (“LA RIVYEER ROOZH” in Michif) to represent the Red River Métis homeland and ancestry, while the infinity symbol speaks to the Red River Métis’ eternal and unbreakable spirit. Placed within the river are the Michif words “TAAPWEEYIMISHO” and “TAAPWEEYIMIK LII MICHIF”, which mean, “Believe in yourself” and “Believe in (the) Métis”. The central portion of the design speaks to a period of repression and loss, but the prairie rose—a classic Métis motif—represents the survival of the Red River Métis and a cultural resurgence. Long stems adorned with “mouse tracks,” leaves and flower buds fill the pattern with a sense of love and joy.
Coin #2. This is the second coin in the annual Generations series, and its engraved reverse perfectly mimics the look of traditional Métis beading.
This is our first collaboration with Métis artist Jennine Krauchi, whose original beadwork pattern combines several timeless Métis motifs and design elements.
Métis beadwork is a rich medium for storytelling and for intergenerational learning, and the Generations series of coins honours the artists and storytellers who play a key role in passing down traditional knowledge to new generations.
