2024 NATIVE AMERICAN 1 DOLLAR
INDIAN CITIZENSHIP ACT OF 1924 "D"
This is the 16th coin of the series NATIVE AMERICAN 1 DOLLAR.
In 2009, the United States Mint began minting and issuing $1 coins featuring designs celebrating the important contributions made by Indian tribes and individual Native Americans to the history and development of the United States.
The 2022 Native American $1 Coin reverse (tails side) design shows an eagle staff, an American Indian symbol of respect, honor, and patriotism, together with an American flag to represent the dual citizenship of Native Americans. Inscriptions include “United States of America,” “$1,” and “Indian Citizenship Act of 1924.”
For 2023, the obverse (heads) design continues to feature a portrait of the central figure of Sacagawea, carrying her infant son, Jean-Baptiste. Inscriptions are “LIBERTY” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.”
The year of minting, mint mark, and inscription “E PLURIBUS UNUM” are incused on the edge of the coins.
This 2023 Native American $1 Coin with circulating finish have never been placed into circulation. It was minted at the Denver Mint.
