Uncirculated Set
The Royal Canadian Mint is proud to present the 2013 Uncirculated Set of Canadian Coins. The set features one coin of each denomination issued for circulation in Canada. These uncirculated coins have been carefully selected to provide you with the best examples of their kind.
In 2013, there is two different uncirculated proof-like sets: the regular one, that include all coins from the year 2013, and the set that commemorate the War of 1812, that include the quarter and the 2-dollar that were issued to celebrate this event. For the regular one, there are four different varieties. The first one is the set without a doubled die. The second is the set with a doubled die on the 1-dollar on the words "CANADA" and "DOLLAR". The third is the set with a doubled die on the 2-dollar on the year "2013". The last one is the set with both varieties explained earlier, on the 1-dollar and the 2-dollar.
This set is part of the Uncirculated Sets collection which began in 1953. A set has been released every year since then.
