Description
Uncertainty didn’t kill the cat, but that doesn’t meanit’s not dead. Dr. Erwin Schrödinger and Werner Heisenbergtaught us that. We’ve all heard about the cats in boxes experiment and maybe we're even curious about the results -- but attempting such an experiment would be INSANE in real life! Now you can try your hand at challenging the uncertainty principle without risking the lives of innocent kittens or exposure to radioactive particles! Awww!
In Schrödinger’s Cats players run experiments, form hypotheses, and try to one-up each other’s research. Players take on the role of a Cat Physicist such as Albert Felinestein, Sally Prride, or Neil deGrasse Tabby! Using their special ability to help prove their hypothesis, or at least debunk someone else’s, each cat physicist tries to determine the minimum number ofalive cats, dead cats, or empty boxes across all the boxes in Schrödinger’s lab.
You may not be certain your hypothesis is valid, but if you love cats, science, and games you will be certain to love the Schrödinger's Cats card game!

Cute, Just OK | |
This is basically "Liar's Dice" with cards, and themed around the Schrodinger's Cat theory. There are some minor rule updates to make it interesting: the biggest one is each player gets 1 of 10 secret "Cat Scientist" cards with a special ability. The game works fine, and isn't too complex. Once everyone understands the game, it can go by quickly. It's designed for large player counts (at least 4), but it's easy to modify the rules for that (the rule book also acknowledges this and provided an alternative setup). If you modify setup rules, you could play with a lot more players than 2-6. The game rules might be too simple for everyone to be interested. The "Cat Scientist" cards are cute and funny, but otherwise the game's rulebook and special phrases are obnoxious, and the font can be hard to read. Components included are minimal. Not much diverse card art, and you get a set of cat stickers in the box as a bonus (?). Overall, this game is OK. |

Si tu as tort, tu perds une vie. |
