The Royal Canadian Mint proudly presents the largest Canadian one-cent coin ever minted. It was 10 years ago (2012) that the last Canadian one-cent circulation coin was struck in Winnipeg, as Canada bade farewell to its penny. To commemorate the anniversary in 2022, G. E. Kruger Gray’s iconic maple leaf twig design has been brought back to life once more and is twice featured on this stunning 99.99% pure silver collectible. With its impressive diameter of 180 millimetres and a metal weight of 5 kilograms, this extraordinary piece serves as the ultimate tribute to the historic workhorse of Canada’s circulation coinage.

 A penny within a penny. As a nod to the last Canadian penny, a life-sized reproduction of the 2012 one-cent design has been incorporated into this 5 kg coin’s reverse design, where the round shape forms the “0” in the year “2022”.
 Features a large-sized reproduction of G. E. Kruger Gray’s maple leaf twig design, as seen on Canadian one-cent circulation coins issued from 1937 to 2012 (with the exception of 1967).
 Crafted in the finest silver (99.99% pure), this extraordinary one-cent coin weighs five kilograms and features a 180 mm diameter.
 Housed in a luxurious burled wood case, each coin comes with a special booklet certificate that includes the story of Canada’s one-cent coin (1858-2012).
