2021 NUMISMATIC SET 25 YEARS OF THE $2 PIECE: FROM BILL TO COIN
Two pieces of history. Paired with a historic bank note, the 38 mm collector coin features the reverse and obverse designs from the first two-dollar coin issued in 1996, but with a slightly larger (38 mm) diameter and double dates (“1996-2021”) to commemorate its 25th anniversary.
Selective gold plating. Crafted in 99.99% pure silver, the fine silver coin features a gold-plated inner portion to resemble Canada’s bi-metallic $2 circulation coin, as well as a goldplated rim.
Includes a $2 replacement (BRX) bank note. The uncirculated $2 bill is from the Bank of Canada’s 1986 Birds of Canada series and represents the last of its kind.
