The Sugar Maple
The pride and joy of maple syrup producers in Ontario and Quebec (but present as far east as Nova Scotia and as far south as Georgia), Acer saccharum - the Sugar Maple - is recognized around the world as the source of the sweetest, clearest maple syrup. It takes a great deal of work to produce this tree's sweet golden bounty; one litre (one quart) of syrup requires boiling down 40 litres (10 gallons) of sap.
This coin is the fifth issue of the Crystal raindrop collection.
The first coin of the series, released in 2008, depicts the Summer Maple Leaf.
The second coin of the series, released in 2009, depicts the Autumn Maple Leaf.
The third coin of the series, released in 2010, depicts the Maple Leaf and its Samaras.
The fourth coin of the series, released in 2011, depicts the Bigleaf Maple.
The fifth and the last coin of the series, released in 2012, depicts the Sugar Maple.

| Dernière pièces d'une série de cinq Belle présentation, les couleurs sont toujours belle. Cependant pour moi en regard du titre ça aurait du être une feuille qui n'est ouverte pas complètement de couleur verte soulignant le printemps, , la goutte d'eau aurait su être en deux couleurs, une moitié comme de l'eau et l'autre finement coloré représentant la couleur du sirop d'érable. Possiblement qu'une sixième pièce de cette série pourrait être possible comme mon commentaire pour (feuille et couleur de la goutte) |
