The Eternal Pursuit
The seven stars that make up the Big Dipper are arguably one of the most recognized formations in the night sky. They are visible year-round from northernlatitudes, and have inspired countless legends around the globe. ManyFirst Nations legends describe the Big Dipper as a great bear who is hunted ceaselessly by three hunters. The fourth issue in this four-coin series reveals how the wounded bear continues to evade the hunters who are locked in an eternal pursuit.
This coin is the fourth issue of the Star Charts collection.
The first coin of the series, released in September 2014, depicts The Quest.
The second coin of the series, released in November 2014, depicts The Wounded Bear.
The third coin of the series, released in January 2015, depicts The Great Ascent.
The fourth and the last coin of the series, released in March 2015, depicts The Eternal Pursuit.
