Description
"Aggressive," "monstrous," "to impress the girls": these are some of the comments made at the 1978 Motor Show when the model of the R5 Turbo appeared. Two years later, experienced drivers appreciated the 204 km/h (127 mph) of this mass-produced "bomb." The impressive air intakes on the rear wings and its polyurethane spoiler made it instantly recognizable. This bold interpretation of the R5 undoubtedly restored the reputation of the Régie.
