This is a 1/35 scale plastic assembly kit of the Matilda Mk.III/IV. The Matilda was developed as a heavily armored infantry tank and was the main tank of the British army in North Africa during World War II. The Matilda swept through Italian opponents and was respectfully called the "Queen of the Desert" by German forces. During Operation Battleaxe to lift the siege of Tobruk in June 1941, German forces used their 88mm AA guns in an anti-tank role as they were the only effective counter against the Matildas. The Matilda made its name in history as a highly effective tank that continually proved its worth in many fierce battles across North Africa.
Length: 174mm, width: 72mm. The shape of the Matilda has been richly reproduced based on a detailed study of the actual tank.
The turret, gun mantlet, and front hull feature realistic cast metal textures.
The mechanically complicated suspension is also finely detailed.
Assembly-type belt and tracks included.
