Betts was awarded his fifth consecutive Gold Glove, his fourth Silver Slugger, finished second in NL MVP voting, and selected as a starting outfielder for the National League All-Star Team. In 2023 Betts tied the Major League record for grand slam home run as a lead-off batter and was elected by the fans as a National League starter in the MLB All-Star Game.
