The year 2012 marks the end of the production of the one cent coin. To commemorate this important event, many products have been put out, such as this one cent coins roll, celebrating the last million coins distributed by the Royal Canadian Mint. Each roll is packed in a special pack, identifying that it contains the last coins distributed, and is numbered.
Each roll contains 50 coins and thus has a face value of $0,50.

| A piece of history in a nice roll | |
| This is a very nice roll from the "last million pennies" ever distributed. It took me a while to pull the trigger with this purchase. Reading online there has been some discussions about whether these are truly the last million pennies ever distributed. Seems that people are missing the point -- for better or for worse, this is the end of a chapter for sou, symbolically or otherwise, and the beginning of a chapter of its journey in eternity. | |
