A milestone. The year 2020 marks the 150th anniversary of the Northwest Territories’ entry into Confederation, an event that greatly shaped the Canada you know today! Its story is closely tied to the surrounding territories and provinces that were carved from its initial size in 1870.
Inclusive. Through the various motifs, the reverse design also celebrates the diversity of the cultures represented in the Northwest Territories.
