Canada's traditional circulation coins have been a fixture of everyday life for almost 70 years, making their designs treasured national emblems in their own right.
This year, these coins will be more collectible than ever-each denomination will now be struck with a special "Mint Mark" as a symbol of the Royal Canadian Mint's reputation for high quality and innovation.
To celebrate this new initiative, we re issuing specially designed folders that include two 2006 Official First Day Coins-one with the new Mint Mark, the other without. Only 5,000 coins from each denomination were set aside for this highly collectible set. It's an exciting duo that makes a novel addition to any collection of Canadiana.
