The series includes Humour, Sens of celebration, Hospitality, Irreductibility, Irreverence, Share, Sensitivity, Travel, Invincibility, Elegance, Gluttony, Complicity, Conviviality, Romanticism, Wisdom, Ecology, Generosity and Courage.
Impedimenta is the wife of Vitalstatistix, the village chief. She is known for her authoritarian personality and knows how to make herself heard. But behind this strong character, she hides a lively person who never forgets that nothing is better than a good meal!
Translating comic book characters is an interesting but perilous exercise. The transition from comic strip to volume must faithfully transcribe the clear line of Uderzo’s and Conrad‘s work. These coins are the faithful representation of a graphic line proper to the french artist, it is a tribute in three dimensions paid by the craftsmen of Monnaie de Paris to the universe of Asterix.
