25-cent
The reverse re-creates the unforgettable 1967 25-cent circulation coin design by Canadian artist AlexColville, and features the side profile of a bobcat in motion. The wild feline outline is beautifully rendered thanks to finely detailed engraving that conveys the texture of his fur, particularly the longer hairsof its ruff. The image is enhanced by the application of selective gold plating over the bobcat and all along the coin's rim. The reverse also features the engraved face value “25 CENTS”, the word “CANADA” and the commemorative dates “1867-2017”. 
This coin is the second issue of the Big coins with Alex Colville designs.
The first coin of the series, released in October 2016, depicts the 1-dollar coin.
The second coin of the series,  released in December 2016, depicts the 25-cent coin.
The third coin of the series,  released in February 2017, depicts the 10-cent coin.
The fourth coin of the series, released in April 2017, depicts the 5-cent coin.
The fifth coin of the series, released in June 2017, depicts the 50-cent coin.
The sixth and the last coin of the series, who will be released in August 2017, depicts the 1-cent coin.
