History comes alive as two-man saws glide through 50.8 cm (20 in.) logs in recordtime and loggers demonstrate the agility that was once required to remain dry while floating logs down river. Powersaw races and the participation of women, boys, and girls bring a contemporay flair to the event.
The traditional community barbeque and pancake breakfast round out the logging activities while a children's festival, community dances, parades, shows, and live entertainment inspire people of all ages and interests to celebrate the logger's way of life and honour thekings of the forest.
