Sinosauropteryx

This magnificent coin produced by the Royal Canadien Mint celebrates the 100th anniversary of the heritage building of the Canadian Museum of Nature, Canada's leading natural sciences and natural historu museum located in Ottawa, Ontario. The coin features the carnivorous Sinosauropteryx (the name means "Chinese lizard wing"), one of the Museum's amazing dinosaurs presented in the Talisman Energy Fossil Gallery.

This card contains a lenticular 50-cent coin representing the Sinosauropteryx and six collectables cards on dinosaurs : : the Panoplosaurus, the Chasmosaurus irvinensis, the Chasmosaurus russelli, the Leptoceratops, the Daspletosaurus torosus and the Triceratops.

This coin is the third of the Dinosaur exhibit collection.
The first coin of the series, released in May 2010, depicts the Daspletosaurus torosus.
The second coin of the series, released in July 2010, depicts the Albertosaurus.
The third and the last coin of the series, released in September 2010, depicts the Sinosauropteryx.
