First World War: The Battle of Vimy Ridge

In the spring of 1917, the Allies launched a new offensive on the Western Front, where all four divisions of the Canadian Corps were ordered to capture the fortified Vimy Ridge. This fine silver coin honours the Canadians at Vimy, where their valour and sacrifice contributed to a definingmoment for our young nation and its military.
