The Royal Canadian Mint’s Maple Leaves in Motion coin is a popular annual issue, and for 2024, the Mint is introducing a new tech pairing that has never been seen before on a 5 oz. 99.99% pure silver coin. Struck incuse, the maple leaf radiates a brilliant shine that is amplified by the black rhodium plated field, which repeats on the obverse. The dark background alters the way the light reflects off the coin’s surface, grabbing the viewer’s attention and focusing it almost entirely on the shiny, incused maple leaf that proudly symbolizes Canada.

 New for 2024: An incuse strike and a black rhodium plated field – a new tech pairing not seen before on a 5 oz. 99.99% pure silver coin.
 For maximum contrast, black rhodium plating fills the field on both sides of the coin – the effigy (obverse) and the maple leaf (reverse) offer the only glimpses of the coin’s silver surface and proof finish.
 Further emphasizing the highlights and shadows, the prominent maple leaf on your coin’s reverse has been struck incuse to add outstanding depth to the design.
 In keeping with the maple leaf theme, both sides of the coin feature a laser-engraved maple leaf pattern.
