2022 FRANCE PROOF QUALITY SET
This set is part of the France Proof Quality Sets series.
This series includes the eight French circulation notes in Proof quality. Minted in only 10,000 copies, this series exclusively contains the new €1 and €2 coins, designed by Joaquin Jiménez, General Engraver of the Monnaie de Paris. The new €1 coin is produced exclusively for this series as well as for the BU 2022 series.
The "Proof" quality is the highest numismatic quality ahead of the "Brilliant Uncirculated" (BU) and "current" qualities. A fine proof coin is one obtained by means of specially prepared dies and blanks and special minting conditions, so that the engraving patterns stand out with great clarity and the surface is flawless. The backgrounds of the engraving are extremely shiny, the reliefs are matte.
