Black-footed Ferret
It happeed so quickly. For centuries, we ruled the grasslands. Those who walk on twofeet revered us as magical because they would only spy us in the moonlight.
Many believed we were lost to the winds forever,until a small colony was discovered in a field far away. Generations had passed. The two-footers had become wiser, finally understood nature's perfect orchestration--and we began to experience the same care and affection normally lavished on our domesticated cousins--to return us to the great Canadian prairie; our cherished and forgotten homeland.
Hope is restored.
This coin is the fourth issue of the Wildlife conservation series.
The first coin of the series, released in July 2010, depicts the Barn owl.
The second coin of the series, released in November 2010, depicts the Polar bear.
The third coin of the series, released in March 2011, depicts the Orca whale.
The fourth and the last coin of the series, released in July 2011, depicts the Black-footed ferret.
