Description
It is said that the first six elves of the Forbidden Lands – the ones who planted the trees, drew the furrows of the rivers and gave the animals their home – after completing their mission, had their rubies gathered in the royal crown, Stanengist, the name of which means “The Hanging Stones.” In the crown they rested deservedly, but at the same time, kept watch over their creation and gave advice to their descendants.
For a long time, the crown was worn by the kings of the land and granted them the power to keep the kingdom intact, but sometime right before the humans arrived in Ravenland, the thief Merigall stole three of the stones from Stanengist, and the land has been sundered ever since. Whoever re-assembles the stones in the crown and places it on her head shall according to legend gain the power to rally all kin and rule over the Forbidden Lands.
The stonesinger Brander of Bynd is said to have received a vision from the god Huge in which he saw the lost elven rubies set into the scepter of a king, the jewelry of a queen, and a sword that slays giants.
Raven’s Purge is an epic campaign module for the Forbidden Lands RPG, written by acclaimed fantasy author Erik Granström. Raven’s Purge is not a linear story and it has no set goal that the adventurers are expected to follow. Instead, it is a rich tapestry of legends, locations, characters and events that the players can interact with in a multitude of ways. Contents of the 224-page hardcover book:
A detailed history and description of the Stanengist elven crown and its elven rubies.
A description of the nine key players of the campaign, who all seek Stanengist.
Eight complete, illustrated adventure sites, playable in any order you want.

| Une campagne qui sent bon l'OSR | |
| Une grande campagne qui n'est pas a mettre dans les main d'un GM débutant car la façon dont fonctionne les "scénarios" demande beaucoup d'impro. On vous donne des lieux d’intérêt,PNJ et objets mais c'est tout. Bref la campagne en soit est très bien , il y a un petit cote poésie qui me plait dans cette histoire. Le livre en soit est très beau, solide et clair comme le reste de la gamme. |

| Raven’s Purge est un vaste module de campagne pour les terres interdites. Pourtant, il reste fidèle au principe de base du jeu de fournir un bac à sable pour les joueurs et de laisser les personnages joueurs conduire les histoires. Le livre explique d’abord la légende de Stanengist et présente les différents groupes de pouvoir et leurs intérêts. Il y a ensuite douze emplacements qui sont présentés de façon exhaustive. Chacun de ces lieux propose des introductions différentes, des personnages différents, des cartes et des descriptions, et des événements. Ce qui se passe exactement dans ces endroits, cependant, dépend des joueurs. Peu de ces endroits offrent aux joueurs un objectif clairement défini. Ils fournissent plutôt une scène pour les aventures et les objectifs des personnages joueurs. Ainsi, même les différents personnages non joueurs ne peuvent généralement pas être divisés en alliés et ennemis. Au contraire, les rencontres dans ces lieux et les objectifs des personnages au cours de la campagne définissent les relations afin qu’il y ait des alliés aux côtés des ennemis à la fin. J’ai énormément apprécié le concept et la réalisation de Raven's Purge. Bien sûr, le livre est plus d’un kit de construction avec des emplacements qui offrent des aperçus du monde du jeu plus large. Bien que de nombreux emplacements puissent enrichir le jeu au-delà de la campagne épique, ce livre est parfait pour exploiter le potentiel de l’approche de jeu ouvert et le contexte d’une campagne épique. Pour les joueurs de Terres interdites qui veulent faire l’expérience du cadre canonique, ce volume est donc obligatoire. |

| If you have purchased Forbidden Lands you know Free League have crafted something beautiful that pays homage to old school gaming. This expansion is the same size as the books in the boxed set and provide flesh to the bones in the base game. It’s full of consideration and detail you want, but provides freedom to be the GM and improvise. You’ll be happy you bought this. | |

| Un très bon livre pour une campagne sandbox, dont les différents sites d'aventure peuvent servir d'inspiration pour d'autres systèmes. En termes de présentation et d'écriture, le style artistique de dessins rétro à l'encre est superbe, la qualité du livre est excellente et chacun des lieux présentés est mémorable et intéressant. |

| Campagne grandiose, originale et complète pour vous lancer dans un des meilleurs OSR ou ''Old School Revival'' présentement! Campagne construite pour être modulable afin de vous ajuster aux exploits ou échecs des personnages! Nul besoin d'utiliser du ''Railroad'' à la Wizard of the Coast avec ce produit! De toute façon qu'est ce que Free League produit qui n'est pas magnifiquement concus? Je vous le recommande tout simplement! |
