Description
Disney Hocus Pocus: The Game, based on the 1993 movie "Hocus Pocus", players must work together to ruin the Sanderson Witches’ potion three times before the sun rises. Players hold a hand of ingredients of different types and colors and attempt to match all ingredient types or colors in the cauldron.
Each turn, players ask a question about other players’ hands, referring to the ingredient type or color (but not both). (For example, “Who has blue ingredients?” or “Who has newt saliva?”) They then play a card from their hand into the cauldron and draw back up to three cards, ending their turn.
Some ingredient cards have Binx the cat or a spell book on them. When an ingredient with Binx is played into the cauldron, the active player puts the Binx mover in front of any player. That player then lays their cards down so everyone can see them and keeps them there until Binx is moved. If a spell book is played, the active player draws a card from the Spell deck and resolves the card. Spells generally do something to ruin players’ plans.
If you have cards showing all of one color or all of one object in the cauldron, then you've stunned one of the witches — and you need to stun the witches three times before time runs out! When stunned, a witch cannot cast spells from the deck.
Players also have four “Tricks” to use based on scenes from the movie; each Trick can be used once per game. For example, "Burning Rain of Death" allows you to discard three potion ingredients and draw three new potion ingredients.

| Agréable mais répétitif | |
| J'ai bien apprécié mon expérience de Hocus Pocus. Le thème est bien présent et le gameplay est bien, mais il se fait mieux à mon avis. J'ai acheté en même temps que Hocus Pocus le jeu "50 missions". Je trouve que le gameplay de ce dernier est similaire, mais offre beaucoup plus de rejouabilité. Je trouve également le jeu "Hanabi" similaire sous certains aspects, mais on a beaucoup plus de décisions intéressantes à prendre dans "Hanabi". Dans les deux cas, le gros avantage que je vois à Hocus Pocus est le thème, mais ça s'arrête malheureusement là à mon avis. | |

| Ce jeu se situe entre correct et moyen. Contradictions entre le guide d'instruction et le plateau de jeu(les trick tokens indiquent une mauvaise instruction-draw another spell- quand on est pas supposé le faire, le witch board indique mal comment ''stunning'' Winifred). À 2 joueurs, la complexité du jeu est élevée. Les illustrations sont représentatives du film. Impression de jouer à UNO, pas tant d'immersion dans le film. | |

| Avant tous commentaires, je trouve important de mentionner qu’on peut tout à fait jouer même si on comprend pas l’anglais, car il n’a rien à lire! Même si les instructions sont en anglais, il est facile d’aller trouver une vidéo qui explique très bien le fonctionnement du jeu sur internet. Pour le concept, j’adore! Ils faut éliminer les soeur Sandersons en trois ronde et à la fin de la troisième ronde le soleil se lève et les soeurs sont vaincues comme dans le film! Durant les rondes, il faut préparer une potion comportant soit cinq carte tous de la même couleurs ou tous de la même sorte ou tous de la même sorte mais avec tout des couleurs différentes (à comprendre lorsqu’on voit le jeu). La ronde prend fin lorsqu’on réussit à faire une potion. Bref, un jeu tellement intéressant qui se joue en famille et qui est facile à comprendre!! | |

| Un beau jeu... mais un peu difficile à comprendre! | |
| Le visuel du jeu est magnifique et respecte bien l'esprit du film. Cependant, le livret de jeu est un peu difficile à comprendre. Un conseil, si jamais vous achetez ce jeu, ne vous donnez pas la peine de lire le livret et allez directement chercher une vidéo ou une page Web expliquant le jeu. Une fois le tout bien compris, le jeu était tout de même bien amusant, mais sans plus. | |
