Description
Combining elements of RPGs, deck-building, and traditional board games, the Mage Knight Board Game puts you in control of one of four powerful Mage Knights as you explore (and conquer) a corner of the Mage Knight universe under the control of the Atlantean Empire. Build your army, fill your deck with powerful spells and actions, explore caves and dungeons, and eventually conquer powerful cities controlled by this once-great faction! In competitive scenarios, opposing players may be powerful allies, but only one will be able to claim the land as their own. In cooperative scenarios, the players win or lose as a group. Solo rules are also included.
Mage Knight: Ultimate Edition contains the base game; The Lost Legion, Shades of Tezla, and Krang Characterexpansions; comprehensive integrated rules text; five new cards; and miniatures with alternate paint jobs.

| After playing lots of game with a friend who have the original, I could not resist in buying this final version. It's a dream come true for a game in my top 5. Be prepared for long games, but very fulfilling ones. This game becomes kind of addictive in it's own way. It's complex, but rewarding. The mechanic is superb. Definitely one of the greatest board game ever made. | |

| In the interests of full disclosure, I should note that I purchased this for solo play and only intend to play it as such. That being said, for solo play, it is fantastic. It mixes elements of sandbox, RPG, and strategy in a creative way, the combat mechanisms and complexities are great, and you always seem to come across new cards. Vlaada has done it again. If you're into the fantasy genre and don't mind the complexity, this is a must-own. | |

| One of the best solo game | |
| Mage Knight is known as one of the best board game to play solo and I must say its true. You have to explore and conquer different point of interest depending of the campaign you chose to do. You have to magane your deck of power and action. There is a possibility to recruits mercenaries and scavenges ressources. Everything you do have an impact thru the game and that's what make the game interesting. It is possible to play solo or in coop to complete scenarios. There is also a competitive mode where you have to be the first to complete objectives while hindering the opponents. The ultimate edition add a lot of new possibilities. I would recommend to watch few "how to play" on youtube to see exactly how some rule applies. For a new player perspective, the amount of rules can be scary at first glance but they can be simple to follow. For the first game I would suggest to not add any expension to get used to the basic rules first. The more you will play and more you will be able to add expansions modules. |

| J’adore le sentiment de progression où chaque décision pèse dans la balance! L’exploration, les combat déterministe, la gestion de carte (deck builder), le thème, tout est rendez-vous. En plus, pour ceux qui n’avait pas encore embarqué, cette édition inclus les excellentes expansions, tout dans un seul package. Vraiment recommandé! | |
