Evil stitched to Evil
The rampaging abomination known as the Beast of Lepidstadt has been captured ! Yet ratherthan destroy the monster for its countless murders and untold crimes,the city council demands the creature receive a fair trial. Upon traveling to Lepidstadt, the adventurers find themselves caught up in the anger and investigations surrounding the Beast's judgment. Soon it's up to them to discover whether the legendary monster is truly a killer or merely the instrument of some greater evil - and either way, whether it's too dangerous to be allowed tu survive.

Éléments intéressants mais disparates | |
Comme le monstre "presque de Frankenstein" qu'il met en scène, ce module pour Pathfinder 1E comporte des éléments disparates, rapiécés ensemble. La thématique horreur gothique/victorienne est bien rendue, avec un troupe de carnaval comme figurants, une dualité "procès rationnel" vs "mob justice", et un gros château de savant fou. Par contre, l'histoire de ce module s'inscrit en apparté par rapport au continuum de la campagne, et la raison pour pousser les joueurs du début du module (enquête, procès) vers sa conclusion (gros donjon) tient par un fil. Selon son groupe, le DM pourrait donc devoir travailler fort pour ne pas que la trame prévue s'effrite... |
