Description
1580, South America: a new colony born on the ashes of the previous settlement. The difficulties are many: the natives who try to repel the invader, the laking of resources, the English Corsairs who threaten destruction. Will you succeed in the challenge?
Trinidad is the latest game by Michele Quondam (Medioevo Universale GX, Virus, Romolo o Remo, Gladiatori, and many more), famous for creating strategic games for "heavy game" fans, as some would say. Trinidad is no exception, and it is a game for 1-5 players which lasts about 30-40 min per player. The illustrations of the game are made by Fabio Porfidia and the miniatures models by Kieran Russell.
In Trinidad, the players are the heads of the Spanish colonial families who founded the Ciudad de la Santisima Trinidad in 1580 (which later became known as Buenos Aires). They will have to develop the starting settlement, by building buildings like houses and palaces, stonecutters, markets, churches, and many more, while making the city look beautiful with squares, fountains, and monuments.
They will have to use their workers as best as they can, choosing carefully where to send them, and also use their characters and affiliates to make the most powerful combos. Furthermore, they will have to work hard to keep good relations with the natives, however hard that may seem, or prepare for their reaction! And they cannot forget about the English Corsairs, who are only waiting for the right moment to raid the city, as soon as it has become wealthy enough...
After the first difficult phase, the settlement will start looking like a city, and the players will be able to cooperate to build imposing buildings like the Cathedral, the Harbor, the Governor's Palace and the majestic central Fort, and important things like Roads and City Walls.

| Trinidad est un jeu de société de stratégie pour deux à quatre joueurs dans lequel les joueurs incarnent des planteurs de canne à sucre à l'époque coloniale des Caraïbes. Les joueurs cherchent à cultiver et à vendre leur canne à sucre pour gagner de l'argent et des points de victoire. Les joueurs doivent gérer leur plantation, récolter leur canne à sucre, traiter leur récolte dans leurs usines et vendre leur sucre pour le meilleur prix possible. Le thème est bien intégré dans le jeu, avec des illustrations magnifiques et des éléments de jeu qui reflètent fidèlement l'histoire et la culture de la région. Les différentes cartes offrent une variété de choix stratégiques pour les joueurs, en fonction de leurs objectifs et de leur style de jeu. Le jeu peut être assez complexe à apprendre pour les joueurs débutants, avec de nombreuses règles à comprendre et des mécaniques de jeu à assimiler. De plus, les parties peuvent parfois être longues et s'étirer en raison de l'importance des décisions stratégiques à chaque tour. En résumé, Trinidad est un jeu de société stratégique et bien conçu qui offre une expérience de jeu satisfaisante.
