| Citrus 10 -- a landmark in a celebrated yuri manga series | |
| Citrus is a well respected and often discussed yuri manga. Yuri couples are most often mismatched opposites: shy with outgoing, conservative with free, broken with kind, competent with clueless, Citrus went one step further in that the focus of the romance were two opposites -- rule-bound and uptight Mei paired with fun-loving Yuzu -- who are actually step-sisters. Although the young women are not related by blood, the evolution of their initial antagonism into attraction is fraught with the societal taboos against love between "sisters" and the cultural disapproval arising from the social distance between the pair. The ten volume series explores the pair's overcoming intense internal dilemmas and their acceptance of their feelings for each other. Volume 10 details the climatic make-or-break outside intervention which threatens to drive the pair apart forever, the ultimate barrier to test their resolve: will their bond be broken? In this yuri series which deviates from so many other series, what will happen is not necessarily a happy ending. |

| La fin de la série est Très belle, je ne m’attendais à rien de moins mais je crois que l’auteur a trop précipité les dernières pages ne donnant rien entre la demande et le mariage. | |
