Acrylics colors in a matt and opaque, water-based formula, especially designed for brush-on use. Each color has been meticulously developed in collaboration with model-painters who specialize in fantasy figures and dioramas. The formulation of these colors has been developed signed taking into account that some of these figures are used in tabletop games, so that Game Color is manufactured with a revolutionary new resin which offers extraordinary resistance to the damage caused by frequent handling. It is recommended to apply Game Color on a previously primed surface. The colors dry rapidly and form a homogenous and self-leveling film while preserving even the smallest detail of a miniature. Game Color presents an extra ordinary adherence on all grounds, such as resin, plastic, steel and white metal. Painting tools are cleaned with water.
Safety: Game Color is not flammable, and does not contain solvents. Please see also certified safety information of the product on the Safety page.
Packaging: Game Color is presented in bottles of 17 ml./0.57 fl.oz. with eyedropper. This packaging prevents the paint from evaporating and drying in the container, so that It can be used in minimal quantities and preserved for a long time.

| Glorious Gold That Lives Up To Its Name… Mostly | |
| I’ve been using this for my projects forever, and overall I’m pretty happy with it, as long as I treat it the way it likes to be used. The colour itself is lovely – a rich, warm mid-tone gold that looks “fantasy hero” without going too yellow or cartoony. On trim, armor, weapons, and details it really pops once it’s built up, and it has a nice metallic sparkle without looking chunky or glittery. Being a water-based acrylic in a dropper bottle, it’s easy to control, non-toxic, and plays nicely with both brush and airbrush once you get the consistency dialed in. The big trade-off is coverage. Glorious Gold is on the thinner, more transparent side, so over black or very dark primers it usually needs a couple of passes to look truly solid. That lines up with what a lot of other painters say about this colour and the newer Game Color metallics in general – the tone is great, but you can’t expect one-coat coverage like some of the newer “instant gold” formulas out there. I get the best results putting it over a warm brown, tan, or ochre base, or using it as a mid-tone over a darker bronze first. It also separates in the bottle a bit, so a really good shake is mandatory, and it can turn into a runny puddle if you over-thin it with water, so I only add a tiny bit of thinner or medium. Where this paint really shines (pun intended) is as a “workhorse” gold for fantasy and sci-fi minis: paladin armor, sigils, trim on power armor, weapon inlays, filigree, statues, icons – basically any spot where you want a warm, classic gold that you can shade and highlight easily. It layers nicely, takes washes well, and it’s tough enough to handle regular gaming once it’s sealed, thanks to the modern acrylic resin Vallejo uses in this range. I’ve also used it in place of a lot of mid-tone golds from other miniature lines; if you’re used to doing a dark bronze > Glorious Gold > brighter highlight metal, it slots right into that workflow without any drama. For me, it’s a solid replacement for solvent-based or very smelly metallics when I want something safer and easier to clean up that still looks good on the table. So, pros: great warm colour, nice shine, dropper bottle convenience, water-based and easy to mix, perfect for fantasy armor and details. Cons: coverage can be weak over dark primers, it’s a bit fussy about thinning, however |

| Comme la plupart des Gold, celui est deviendra plus eclatant avec plusieurs, plusieurs couches. La peinture Vallejo est, à mon avis le meilleure rapport qualité/prix. Elle offre une excellente sélection de couleurs. Les series "Game Color" et "Model Color" sont mes proférées. Bonne couverture, bonne consistance. A1 |
