Description
Does Love Forgive? is a collection of two special scenarios for Call of Cthulhu for one Keeper and one player. Both adventures are perfect for a fun evening of gaming for two people.
Each scenario can be played over the course of one to two sessions, and is suitable for Keepers of all experience levels.
Love You to Death
Chicago: February 15th, 1929. It’s a cold winter’s day when the investigator’s good friend Hattie May appears in their office at the detective agency. Her beloved pet dog, Highball, is scheduled to be destroyed later today and she needs the investigator’s help getting him back from the Chicago Police Department. It doesn’t sound like too difficult a task, does it?
Mask of Desire
New York: September, 1932. The investigator, together with their two close friends Anna Konrad and Lucas Reston, has been invited to a party at wealthy—and notorious—socialite Madame de Tisson’s swanky apartment on the Upper West Side. Anna is somewhat distracted by her audition tomorrow for Nancy Turner, the famous jazz orchestra conductor. What is the link between the audition and a mysterious parcel that arrives the next day? And, why do so many people seem to be interested in the contents of the parcel?

| Surprenants scénarios pour Cthulhu! | |
| Super livret de scénarios (deux) pour Cthulhu! Très belle mise en page, avec beaucoup de "handouts" (des accessoires à donner aux joueurs, exemple une lettre trouvée en fouillant). L'atmosphère rappelle les histoires de détectives privés. Une des deux histoires se situe dans les années 30, pour ceux que ça intéresse. Le livre, pas très épais, est garnie de belles illustrations, plutôt en noir et blanc avec un peu de rouge. Un très beau travail d'écritures par un trio d'auteures. Je suis très satisfait de mon achat! | |

| Deux scénarios super intéressants pour jouer seul à seul avec un autre joueur. Je dois avouer apprécier ce genre de format. C'est un remède parfait contre une annulation dernière minute d'un gros groupe de joueur. Les scénarios tourne plus autour de l'intrigue, du mystère et des interactions sociales. Les scénarios plongent moins dans le grosse horreur cosmique de Lovecraft. Je dois avouer apprécier cette utilisation du thème plus subtile. Fan de série noir et de lieux rempli de fumé de cigare, servez-vous un verre de whisky et foncez sur ce livre! |

| Ces scénarios sont faits pour du 1 on 1, avec un maître de jeu et un joueur, ce qui rend ce produit tout à fait unique dans la grande bibliographie de Chaosium. En effet, il me semble qu'il n'y a qu'une seule autre aventure officielle prévue pour le 1 on 1; Paper Chase du Starter Set. Le bouquin est joli, entièrement en couleur, ce qui est bien considérant son prix, et contient 2 aventures tout à fait uniques. La première est simple et peut être bouclée en 1 séance de jeu, la deuxième prend un peu plus de temps (2 ou 3 séances maximum). Dans les deux cas, le thème central est l'amour, mais l'horreur reste tout à fait omniprésente tout de même. Reste toujours que c'est un excellent bouquin pour un couple! |

| A rare opportunity for one-on-one Call of Cthulhu scenarios. There are two scenarios, both just shy of 20 pages each, and each designed for one Keeper and one investigator. These could be a good way to introduce a new player that is not yet comfortable to play in a group. The only downside is that there are no pre-gen characters, however they do provide guidance on how to build an investigator for each scenario. | |
