| I bought this in mind for a friend on a visit to Imaginaire Ottawa on a whim but had a chance to read it through myself. The omnibus is intriguing with setting the shock factor in certain stories. Though, I didn't see it push the agenda storywise beyond just the horror aspect when storytelling. However, I must say the gore drawings alongside the suggestive character poses depicted are quite good in setting the tone and expanding on the gravity of the situation that is happening. Hence each chapter jumps straight past the premise building into the shock or elusive scenes before naturally ending in the twist or shocking reveal by the end of the chapter. (En hasard, j'en achète pour un ami de mien pendant un trajet à Imaginaire Ottawa et par chance j'en ai lu. Le recueil est tentant avec l'horreur de certains chapitres. Mais il n'est pas surpassé mes espoirs avec les racontes des histoires au dessous de l'idée de horreur simplement. Par contré je dois dire que l'art de horreur est bien expressé et avec les positions tentant des personnages qui aide à plonger plus profondément chaque situation de chaque histoire gravement. En resultant les chapitres saute directement dans les scenes choquant et tentant avant de finir naturellement avec un coup de théâtre à la fin.) |
