Struck to commemorate the end of the second millennium, the Royal Mint issued a series of twelve twenty-five cent coins in 1999, one for each month of the year. The series reflect development, milestones, discoveries, inventions and achievements in the millenium.
To celebrate the new millennium, the Royal Mint issued a series of twelve twenty-five cent coins for each month of the year 2000. It focussed on the hopes and dreams of the future: Canadians' vision of our culture, exploration, science and technology.
