From the Royal Canadian Mint, this coin is 99.99% pure silver with antique finish, but its inner core is replaced by a 3D allegorical figure of Peace cast in 99.9% fine silver and plated with gold.  At the core of this 99.99% pure silver coin with antique finish is a highly-intricate, gold-plated 3D allegory cast in 99.9% pure silver. An RCM first, that resembles fine metal openwork.
 From front to back, the allegorical figure is visible on both sides of the coin—in fact, the obverse is a continuation of the reverse design.
 Most silver castings are sterling (92.5% pure) silver but this allegory is cast in 99.9% pure silver. Careful hand polishing was used in order to achieve a high shine to bring out the details of craftmanship.
