ARCHIVAL TREASURES: 1912 HERALDIC DESIGN

2nd coin of the series Archival Treasures.

 From the Library and Archives Canada collection, a century-old pen-and-ink concept by Joseph Aubé has been adapted to fill both sides of this modern tribute crafted in one kilogram of 99.99% pure silver canvas.
 Intricate engraving. A spectacular engraved version of a handdrawn concept. Every line and flourish of the original design — including the emblems of Canada, France and the United Kingdom — has been carefully studied, adapted and replicated to create a numismatic work of art.
 A special centenary. Part of the Royal Canadian Mint’s 100th anniversary celebration of the Arms of Canada. Canada’s heraldic past and present are represented on several coins issued in 2021.
 A traditional look. The coin’s classic art style and heraldic elements will appeal to traditionalists and history enthusiasts. Mintage is limited to 500 coins worldwide.
