The series includes Humour, Sens of celebration, Hospitality, Irreductibility, Irreverence, Share, Sensitivity, Travel, Invincibility, Elegance, Gluttony, Complicity, Conviviality, Romanticism, Wisdom, Ecology, Generosity and Courage.
Asterix is not the strongest of the Gauls, but when he drinks the magic potion, the Romans must hide!
Translating comic book characters is an interesting but perilous exercise. The transition from comic strip to volume must faithfully transcribe the clear line of Uderzo’s and Conrad‘s work. These coins are the faithful representation of a graphic line proper to the french artist, it is a tribute in three dimensions paid by the craftsmen of Monnaie de Paris to the universe of Asterix.

| Pour : Thème unique pour les fans d'Astérix. Lorsqu'on bouge la pièce, les pieds d'Astérix ont un effet de mouvement typique. Contre : la pièce n'est pas composée à 99,99% d'argent, ce qui explique son prix raisonnable malgré son poids. Les côtés de la pièce sont malheureusement tranchants, voire coupant, et c'est là que la finition laisse à désirer. Cela m'étonne de la Monnaie de Paris. | |
