H.R.H. Prince William of Wales, Second in line to the British Throne

Prince William, the elder son of The Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales, was born on June 21, 1982 and was baptized Prince William Arthur Philip Louis.

After attending Mrs. Mynors, and Wetherby Schools in London, William attended Ludgrove School in Berkshire. In September 1996, he began attending Eton College where he studied geography, biology and art history.

After graduating, William visited Chile, Belize, various countries in Africa and worked on British dairy farms. He then attended St. Andrews University in Fife, Scotland and graduated in 2005.

William spent a brief period working before joining the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to complete the officer training course. In December 2006, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Household Cavalry (Blues and Royals). In 2008, The Queen appointed him Royal Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter and William began training to become a search and rescue pilot with the Royal Air Force.

Prince William is a Patron of a number of organizations including Centrepoint, theTusk Trust and The Football Association. He is also a keen sportsman and enjoys team sports such as football, basketball, hockey, water polo as well as swimming, cross-country skiing and clay pigeon shooting. An accomplished polo player, Prince William regularly joins his brother, Prince Harry, to play in fundraising games - and perform a criticalrole of the modern monarchy.
