Canada’s maple leaf flag turns 60 in 2025, and that milestone anniversary is commemorated in this silver fractional set from the Royal Canadian Mint. The five 99.99% pure silver coins share the same finely engraved maple leaf on their reverse, where the double dates (“1965-2025”) commemorate the 60th anniversary of the National Flag of Canada, while each obverse turns back time by featuring Arnold Machin’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II from 1965. Meanwhile, the set’s 1 oz. piece features a few modern innovations, including a new enamel-like paint technology that mimics the look of colour enamel, while still allowing the engraved details to shine through.
