Being placed well within the auroral zone of the aurora borealis, many regions of Canada areperfectly positioned to enjoy an amazing view of the northern lights. Vast regions with little human-made light improve the aurora's visibility and intensity, offering a feast for the eyes. As Canadians settle in for the long, cold winter with its added hours of darkness, the northern lights offer a good reason to get outside and reconnect with our northern landscape. Like much of Canada's wilderness, the aurora borealis that we enjoy from sea to sea to sea is powerful, elusive, and humbling - making the companionable warmth of human community even more precious.
