Queen Victoria
The reverse of the coin shows the crowned effigy of Queen Victoria that appeared on several Canadian denominationsfrom 1870 to 1901. The effigy itself is in ultra-high relief which isreminiscent of ancient medallic art. Slight inconsistencies in the quality of the surface are normal for this ultra-high relief process.
This coin is the first issue of the Vignettes of Royalty collection.

The second coin of the series, released in 2008, depicts the King Edward VII.
The third coin of the series, released in 2008, depicts the KingGeorges V.
