An interesting artifact of modern economic history | |
This was introduced on August 1, 2006, when Zimbabwe's inflation was so bad that they introduced redenomination. Coins were replaced by paper notes for the lowest denominations, as the metal was worth more than the face value. Hyperinflation continued, with prices doubling daily at some points. This bill became worthless almost immediately, and by 2008 Zimbabwe was issuing trillion dollar notes. |
