Description

| Two parts to this review, first Hitman the series then why I am buying this next time I visit! Hitman the series is a dark comedy, a slight parody/homage of the violent heroes of the 90s. With one of the greatest supporting casts in comics EVER, this was an amazing series that I started collecting late (issue 13, Zombie Night at the Gotham City Aquarium) because I thought it was just another variant on the Punisher. Why settle for a variant when Marvel has a Punisher ongoing 90% of the time. Well, story. This series made me laugh out loud, wait excitedly for the next issue and almost cry when I read the final issue. Now, why am going to buy this? I am a unilingual anglophone who has tried, unsuccessfully, to learn French his entire life (50+ years). A friend of mine learned English by reading Peanuts comics because, not only did it give him practice, it was enjoyable. And that, my dear friends, someday mes amis cher, is why I am grabbing this |
