Description
The series of 9 escort boats, including the Victor Schœlcher (the first ship to enter service) and the Commandant Rivière, was built between 1957 and 1963. These air-conditioned vessels were designed for representation and escort in a wide variety of climates. They could accommodate a high-ranking official, a senior officer and his staff, or briefly transport an 80-man commando. A light helicopter could land at the rear.
