The Schwerer Wehrmachtschlepper (sWS) was developed as an average half-track vehicle and was used for transporting supplies to troops on the front lines or for hauling light artillery pieces. Its large rear cargo area made it suitable for other operational applications. For example, the 10-barrel battery of the 150mm Nebelwerfer 42 rocket launcher was installed in a modified cargo space. The weapon, originally developed as a mounting and later used as actual artillery, capable of firing high-explosive ammunition, was tiltable and elevated, allowing it to fire rockets with lethal effect. The original structure of the transport vehicle was reinforced with additional shields, which protected the crew from enemy fire as well as from rocket launch impacts. Assembly and painting required. Kit does not include model cement glue, paint, and tools. Adult supervision where required.
